The Parting Line

Every relationship—romantic, platonic, or otherwise—eventually comes to an end. Endings are rarely easy, but you don’t have to go through them alone.

Grieving a future you wish you could have had with your ex? Struggling to process the end of a friendship? Trying to accept the idea of not being the right person?

Maybe you’ll find yourself aboard the Parting Line. Piloted by its eccentric conductor, the Parting Line is a train that appears only to those that need it. Here, you’ll have space to grapple with your feelings—and to help others do the same.

The Parting Line is a horde LARP for 4–10 people about the many ways relationships come to an end. Players may play one character for the entire game or switch out their characters at every train stop. It’s a game about processing feelings with others, by yourself, and/or through art. Gameplay consists of conversations between players. Additionally, crayons and paper are provided to the players to allow them to create art, independently or collaboratively, to express their characters’ feelings.
